Women of TEC

The Women of TEC exist to serve and educate, to share joy and to ease sorrow, to inspire and help in all endeavors and to achieve a way of life, following the teachings of Judaism. Our Women of TEC has a 35-year history of service to Temple Etz Chaim and is affiliated with Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, an international organization of 800 Sisterhoods of conservative synagogues.

As Women of TEC members, our common goals include:

  • CONNECTING to Jewish women of all generations
  • COMMITTING to our synagogue and its children
  • CONTRIBUTING to the greater Jewish community

We sponsor a variety of educational, cultural, charitable and social programs, which enrich our minds as well as create a sense of community. We offer you the opportunity to strengthen your Jewish identity and broaden your scope of interest and involvement by contributing your commitment, energy and talents to Temple Etz Chaim and our Jewish community.

The Women of TEC have a beautiful gift shop where you can purchase the perfect Judaic gift. In addition to selling tribute cards, entertainment books, and invitations, we have a day-long Hanukkah boutique featuring many unique vendors.

We are also the “kitchen ladies” where we have most of our real fun! Arrangements can be made through the Women of TEC to have a lovely Shabbat dinner on Friday night or an extended Kiddush on Saturday morning after services.

Are you having a birthday, anniversary, life cycle event or any kind of Simcha that you would like to celebrate with your TEC congregation? If so, please make a donation of any amount and we will mention your Simcha in the Shabbat flyer and say that you contributed to the Friday night or Saturday morning Kiddush for that weekend.  Please contact [email protected] to handle the arrangements. Mazel Tov!

Even if you are unable to actively participate, your dues will enable us to continue our wonderful work. Make a promise to yourself and join the Women of TEC. If you do, we promise you will be fulfilled. If you are a new member of Temple Etz Chaim, your first year of Women of TEC is free. Please join us!
